Employment Opportunity – Finance Administration Assistant/Clerk
The Finance Administration Assistant/ Clerk -Kokopo (FAA-Kokopo) will be based in the KOKOPO office of the Project Management Unit (PMU), Cocoa Board of PNG (CB). The Financial Administration Assistant/ Clerk will be responsible for assisting the Senior Financial Management Officer in clerical aspects of accounting and financial management of PMU, complying with the Financing Agreement and PPAP Financial Management Manual and in respect with Public Finances (Management) Act, the Audit Act and associated Financial Instructions.
The successful candidate shall be expected to have the following experience and qualifications: Required Qualifications and Experiences 1) Suitable qualifications in finance or accounting; 2) Minimum 5 Years of work experience in finance or administration; 3) High integrity and accountability in all aspects of project accounting and administration; 4) Fluency in written and spoken English and an ability to communicate and participate effectively in a dynamic team; 5) Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel with ability to learn new accounting software packages; 6) Current driving license
Desired Qualifications and Experience: 1) highly motivated with a willingness to work non-routine hours, if required, to meet project deadlines; 2) Previous experience in Government financial systems and World Bank or Donor Agency Projects.
